《傲慢的上校》创作背景
自从告别《白桦林》之后，朴树就在沉寂中苦求生命和音乐的意蕴，经过四年的探求，专辑中的词曲全是有朴树一手打造。专辑中歌曲追求那种近乎缥缈和绝望的唯美同名主打《生如夏花》是《冲出你的窗口》的另一种版本。专辑里的《傻子才悲伤》、《我爱你，再见》、《傲慢的上校》是浪漫而忧伤的朴式代表歌曲。
2003年11月8日，新专辑《生如夏花》在朴树的生日于全国各正版音像店开始同步预售。华纳唱片·麦田音乐和美卡音像对《生如夏花》这张年度巨片寄予厚望。2003年11月28日，朴树的新专辑《生如夏花》在全国正式盛开。
